Texas: Sikyong Penpa Tsering of Central Tibetan Administration held a meeting with US Congressman Micheal McCaul, where they discussed the critical situation inside Tibet and scope for collaboration and initiatives to advance the Tibet cause.
Sikyong was also accompanied by Richard Gere, Chair, International Campaign for Tibet. The delegation presented McCaul with a message from His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
“Pleasure meeting with @SikyongPTsering and @SaveTibetOrg Chair Gere to receive a message from the Dalai Lama, one of the most inspiring spiritual leaders of our time. I will continue to stand with Tibetans and all those who suffer under the CCP’s oppression”, tweeted McCaul after the meeting.
Sikyong Penpa Tsering is on an official visit to the US, at the invitation of US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Earlier, the delegation held a meeting with Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Uzra Zeya, US Special Coordinator for Tibetan Issue and Rassad Hussain, Ambassador at Large, USIRF.
