Demolition of Buddha Statue at Drago monastery

Two Buddha statues and prayer wheels were demolished by Chinese authorities around a prominent monastery in Drango county in the Kardze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan province in December 2021 claiming that construction documents were not approved and that the height of the statue violated local building codes. Moreover, monks and Tibetans were forced to witness the demolition. Do you think this is part of an attempt to Sinicize Tibet and destroy Tibetan Buddhism and culture?

  1. Definitely yes . . The opinion given by you is right.... The Tibetans are being harrassed to fallow Chinese culture and language.....

  2. How long will it take for the rest if the world to wake up to what the Chinese are doing to Tibetans. What makes me angry is that the Chinese people should actually revere the people of Tibet, because history tells us that Genghis Khan planned to drive all the Chinese into the sea and kill them. But he was a close friend of HH the Dalai Lama, and he talked Genghis out of slaughtering innocent Chinese. Fast forward 800 years, and this is how the Chinese repay their Tibetan saviours.
