Scotland: Cross party group of Tibet will be part of this year’s Festival of Politics where they will talk about parallels between the invasions of Tibet and Ukraine and the importance of controlling the narrative.
Festival of Politics supported by the Cross-party group on Tibet and Scotland’s Future Forum will consider the use of information and disinformation in armed conflict, as well as the role of citizen journalism and digital communication in our world today. The event starts on Thurday, August 11, 2022 at 3pm to 4:30pm.
The event Chair will be Ross Greer MSP, Co-Convener, Cross Party group of Tibet. Member of a panel are Dr. Joanna Szostek (Lecturer in political communication at the University of Glasgow), Dr. Tsering Topgyal (Lecturer in International relations at the University of Birmingham), Olga Robinson (Assistant editor at BBC) and James Blake (Head of Media and Humanities at Edinburgh Napier University).
