Kashag expresses its condolences to Shri Mulayam Singh Yadav, former Minister of Defence

Dharamshala: The Officiating Sikyong, Security Kalon Gyari Dolma today wrote to the bereaved family of late Shri Mulayam Singh Yadav to extend Kashag’s condolences. The former Indian Defence Minister and U.P Chief Minister breathed his last on Monday due to prolonged illness.

In a letter addressed to Akhilesh Yadav, son of the deceased, Officiating Sikyong writes, “On behalf of the Central Tibetan Administration and the Tibetan people, I extend our deepest condolences on the passing of your beloved father, Shri Mulayam Singh Yadav Ji, the former Indian Defence Minister and Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh”.

The letter expresses Kashag’s gratitude to the late Shri Mulayam Singh Yadav Ji for supporting Tibet’s cause and advocating for Tibet in the Indian parliament.

“Shri Mulayam Singh Yadav Ji was both a distinguished statesman of India and a friend of the Tibetan people. We remain eternally grateful for his support for the Tibet cause. Once again, please accept our deepest condolences and prayers,” the letter concludes.

“I express my gratitude on behalf of the Tibetan people to Shri Mulayam ji for his unwavering concern & solidarity with the Tibetan Struggle by constantly raising the issue of Tibet in the Indian Parliament. May the departed soul rest in peace”, tweeted Tibetan parliament Speaker Khenpo Sonam Tenphel.
