Dharamshala: The Office of the Dalai Lama commended the Sri Lankan Tibetan Buddhist Brotherhood Society in a letter for actively promoting the moral principles and dedication of His Holiness to the welfare of humanity on July 6, the day of his birthday.
The letter conveyed His Holiness’ appreciation for Senior Sangha members and other scholars, including Prof. Chandima Wijebandara and Ven. Prof. Miriswatte Wimalagnana Thero.
"In fact, His Holiness was happy to receive well wishes from all Sri Lankan Mahanayake Theros. The letter states, "He expresses his sincere gratitude to all the spiritual brothers and other speakers for their good words.
“Indeed His Holiness was pleased to receive good wishes from all Mahanayake Theros of Sri Lanka. He conveys his hearty thanks to all the spiritual brothers and other speakers for their kind words,” the letter reads.
“His Holiness is hopeful that no matter how difficult the situation may be, people will not lose their enthusiasm and confidence in their ability to change the current circumstances for the better”, the letter concludes.
